Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro, Maasai Village
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. The Tarangire Ecosystem is defined by
the long-distance migration of wildebeest and zebras. During the dry season thousands
of animals concentrate in Tarangire National Park from the surrounding wet-season
dispersal and calving areas. Visiting the park in the June to November dry season can
expect to see large herds of thousands of zebra, wildebeest and cape buffalo. The park
covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometres (1,100 square miles

Lake Manyara National Park
Drive from Twiga Lodge into Lake Manyara National Park. Game drive in the park
where you will encounter many of Africa’s most popular wild animals, from baboons
and monkeys to tree-sleeping lions and hippos, not to mention the flocks of pink
flamingos feeding off the shallow lake bottom. Drive to Karatu for overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area
From the Karatu entrance to the park enter the Ngorongoro Crater conservation area. This is a short journey. You will see the wide plains of this magnificent park with many of Africa's 'Big Five' game. Checking into tented lodge accommodation on the Crater rim, you will have had a long but excellent day in ‘the 8th Wonder of the World’.

Travel to a Maasai Village
Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti are famous for their habitat for the Maasai people. The Maasai are largely nomadic herds of people travelling with their animals as they feed. On this day we travel to a Maasai village where you will be welcomed to experience the lifestyle and traditions that make the Maasai unique. After your visit we return to Arusha where you may extend your stay or let us take you back to the airport the following.
